B2 Computing Web Hosting Services
B2 Computing has worked closely with industry leaders to create a superior hosting infrastructure for our clients built from the latest Cisco™ high-speed data communications technologies and Dell™ PowerEdge™ servers.
We manage custom-built Linux and Windows web servers strategically located at data centers in Chicago, Illinois and Dallas, Texas. These world-class data centers feature fully redundant networks and state-of-the-art security, power, safety, and cooling systems - all designed to ensure that service remains uninterrupted.
Servers are monitored 24x7x365 so technical issues can be acted upon before they become serious. Additionally, the network and data centers are monitored and managed by on-site technicians dedicated to ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
Going Green
B2 Computing requires our data center partners to purchase certified Renewable Energy Credits representing 130% of the electricity used to power our servers. Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) are tradeable credits representing all the environmental benefits of 1 megawatt hour of renewable energy.
Our data center partners use renewable energy to both power and cool our servers. This is important, given the extreme power consumption that servers and networking equipment demands, not to mention the heat that gets generated - for every watt of electricity that a server uses, 1-2 watts of electricity are typically required to cool it.
When Renewable Energy Credits are purchased by a data center, it’s basically paying a windfarm to generate renewable energy on their behalf. So, for every REC purchased, that windfarm generates 1 megawatt of wind power and puts it into the grid, making up for drawing power from the grid. Learn more about Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) on the US EPA's website.
Redundancy and High-Availability to Protect Your Website
Our web servers reside on a fully meshed and redundant Certified Cisco Network connected to multiple backbone and fiber providers including AT&T, Global Crossing, Level3, AboveNet, Savvis, MCI, Broadwing and XO Communications
Downtime isn’t just inconvenient, it’s expensive. The technologies and services we have in plce can provide comprehensive failover, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for keeping mission-critical applications running, maintaining data accessibility, and ensuring business continuity.
